De controlesystemen voor energieopwekking, energieverbruik, energieopslag en laadwerk voor elektrische voertuigen staan momenteel echter los van elkaar. Dit resulteert in hoge kosten en CO2-uitstoot als gevolg van energie-ineffici\u00ebnties.<\/p>\n<p>Elektrische voertuigen worden meestal aangedreven door fossiele brandstoffen opgewekte elektriciteit. De ontwikkeling van dit intelligente energiebeheersysteem (iEMS) zal de economische waarde van hernieuwbare energie verhogen en de CO2-uitstoot aanzienlijk verminderen.<\/p>\n<p>Het iEMS zal de slimme integratie verzekeren door middel van interoperabiliteit op basis van open standaarden voor gegevensstromen en analysetools.  CleanMobilEnergy zal het mogelijk maken om hernieuwbare energiebronnen lokaal te gebruiken, zodat elektrische voertuigen kunnen worden opgeladen met 100 % hernieuwbare energie die tegen een optimale prijs wordt aangeboden. Deze pilots vari\u00ebren van kleine steden tot grote steden. De vier City Pilots hebben betrekking op verschillende soorten hernieuwbare energie, opslag en elektrische voertuigen, evenals verschillende contexten en diverse stadsomgevingen.<\/p>\n<p>De City Pilots zullen gebruik maken van verschillende state-of-the-art opslagmedia in verschillende omgevingen, die representatief zijn voor Noordwest-Europa en gemakkelijk worden gerepliceerd in andere steden in heel Europa. Met name in Londen en Nottingham, bijvoorbeeld, zullen elektrische voertuigen zelf worden gebruikt om de gebouwen en het depot van stroom te voorzien met behulp van innovatieve bidirectionele laders die worden aangestuurd door het ge\u00efntegreerde energiebeheersysteem iEMS.<\/p>\n<p>In Arnhem daarentegen wordt duurzame energie geleverd aan schepen in de haven grenzend aan het industrieterrein.
